Who is responsible for your information?

Yorkshire Home TV Services is responsible for personal information collected through this website and its enquiry form. Contact us at help@yorkshirehometvservices.co.uk or call 07594312890 about your information or this notice.

What we collect and why

When you enquire, we collect your name, email address, postcode, selected service and message, plus your phone number if you provide it. We use these details to respond, discuss your requirements, provide a quotation and arrange work. Required fields help us deal with your enquiry; without them the online form cannot be submitted. Please do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information.

We process requests for quotations and work to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform a contract where work is agreed. For general enquiries, our legitimate interest is answering questions about our services. Our legitimate interest in preventing spam and protecting the website also supports the form’s security checks. Enquiry details are not used to sign you up for marketing.

Email delivery and service providers

The form sends your enquiry to our business mailbox. Website hosting and email providers process information as needed to operate the website, deliver messages and store correspondence. The form does not create a separate database of enquiry submissions. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell enquiry details. This form does not make automated decisions about you.

How long we keep information

Our retention period for enquiries that do not lead to work is up to 12 months after the last contact. We review and delete information when it is no longer needed. If an enquiry leads to work, relevant correspondence and business records may be kept longer where needed for the service, accounting obligations or legal claims; unnecessary enquiry details should be removed. The website does not automatically delete messages from our mailbox.

For spam prevention, the form briefly stores hashed identifiers derived from your IP address and email address, normally for three minutes, to limit repeated submissions. Hosting and email systems may also keep operational logs and backups under their own retention arrangements.

Cookies and website administration

WordPress uses cookies for administrator sign-in and administration preferences. The enquiry form uses a security token and server-side spam checks rather than requiring a visitor account.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive information you supplied in a portable format where that right applies. Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

We will update this notice when the way we handle website enquiries changes.
